Originally Maou the Dark was a human born in 1930s Britain to a Mrs June Addams and a Mr David Addams, he also had an older sister named Mary Addams and he was christened John Addams.
Thanks Maou!! I'll try to add that to Lulu's role as well though Lulu is extremely intelligent & he & Alice are competing for The Orphan/Inya & Ellie it should prove to be useful..
Heheheheheh Tragic but revengeful.. It's clear to me that the origins were true! recalling the origins & of John Addams before becoming as Maou The Dark to retaliate against not only the Wilsons but the Addams entirely through eldritch means of nightmares..
This lore would prove useful but, Is it okay that I can use the lore as part of Ellie & Alice's important role in the Dark Sun crossover saga you know, as they learn the tale from Lulu? But, the backstory is incredible an dark one!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it and yes it should be fine if you use it for when Lulu is explaining the back story of Maou the Dark it is partly the reason why I wrote it down.
With each person she killed the Dark became stronger, she was able to wield greater powers, but she still lacked a body, she was simply a mind.
Once the dark had killed everyone who was responsible for the death of John Adams, including the villages. She decided to start exploring her mind was able to go to any universe, then she discovered Archanium and met her new father.
He disconnected her from her soul and connected her to the heart of Archanium. Because of this she was able to create her own body out of darkness, unfortunately this also meant that she could not leave Archanium, that is until it was destroyed.
From here the story is picked up by History of Archanium Maou the Dark.
The first targets were Mr. Wilson, and Mrs Wilson, and the dark chose Mrs Wilson to become the first victim, her husband thought that she was going mad she saw John Addams in his new form as the dark out of the corner of her eye, she became paranoid after that she began to see the rotting corpses of her victims, of which there were legions, they were behind closed doors, they were outside her window, they were in the background of her mirror, eventually she fell into a coma, and the dark dragged her into her own personal hell that she had crafted herself from a mixture of Mrs Wilson's nightmares and sins, she would be in a rotting version of the world, continually running from her victims, who would relentlessly hunt her night and day, and when they caught her they would devour her, and the nightmare would begin again.
After his wife died Mr. Wilson became fearful he could not figure out what had ailed her but he began to see things, he began to see the dark out of the corner of his eye everywhere, just as his wife had, and eventually he would start seeing his victims, he sought out a priest to aid him, which might have worked, but it was just an illusion when Mr. Williams went to the church to seek help, he was actually just standing in the park talking to a statue, people thought he had gone mad with grief eventually he fell into a coma and was dragged by the dark into his own personal hell, which was the same as his wife’s.
David Addams was pulled into a hell in which he would be the one working in the factory overseen by a twisted demonic version of himself continually demanding more work to be done, he would get hungry and tired, and eventually he would die, which would result in the nightmare resetting and starting again.
June Addams was pulled into a hell in which her whole body was covered in wires, forcing her to smile and keep her eyes open, they would cut her skin and forced her to elegantly dance around a ballroom, leaving behind a trail of blood as she swooned around the other guests were demonic in appearance but we're familiar to her, who'd all stand around eating bits of her flesh that fell off and drinking her blood and smiling in the delight at her pain.
Mary Addams was dragged into a hell, which took the shape of a large square room with four doors, on each of the four walls when she went through one of these doors the next room would be filled with things that she wanted or possessed in life, of course, she still got tired and hungry, and there was no food, she would eat her dresses and jewelery and drink the perfume in an attempt to sustain herself, which would continually lead to her death, her memory would be wiped, then she would live it again.
Despite being all-powerful inside her own realm leaving, it was no easy task, but eventually she found a way by breaking her own soul her mind was free to wander, but it would always be drawn back to her own realm if she was not careful.
Once outside she was able to see all of the other souls, each of them trapped in their own version of heaven or hell, with time she was able to find her way back home using the remains of John Addams’s body as an anchor to guide her.
Although from her perspective she had been gone for thousands of years in the real world, she had only been gone for one, and she lacked a physical body to touch, she was nothing more than an observer, then she was angry at what she discovered, what her family had done, and that the Wilsons had not just gotten away with their crimes, they were continuing them.
In time she discovered that she could possess someone, not control them, but hide inside them, from there she was able to move things with her mind and create illusions.
Eventually the target would become tired, which is when she would pull them deep inside their soul into a hell of her own creation that she had molded pacifically for them, this would cause the body to go into a sleep like state before eventually dying when the soul was sent to the void.
The death of John Addams is not where the story ends when he died his soul was sent into the void where his mind was dragged into his soul this is a common occurrence, the mind dwells within the human soul and it creates its own heaven or hell, depending upon the individual in the case of John Adams it was his own personal hell the nightmares that he had suffered from became his reality he was constantly running from the encroaching darkness however in life he had trained himself to recognize when he was asleep because of this he realized that he was dreaming which changed everything.
At first he was frightened and running for his life away from the darkness then he became the monster that was hunting either through the woods or abandoned buildings or other places, until eventually he had the courage to face the darkness that had been chasing him his entire life, it wrapped around him like a cocoon and he felt complete. It reshaped him into the form that we all know, and she became the darkness, from there she was able to take full control of his own personal hell, and John Adams took the name the Dark.
once she had full control and was essentially a God in her own realm, she could live out any and all fantasies imaginable she could be a he or she, a king, a tyrant, a hero, a villain playing out every role in every fantasy reality was whatever she said it was.
But she also knew how she had died, how she had ended up there, and she wanted revenge.
Because of outrage from the public, John Addams was forced to go into hiding, he hid in his sister’s warehouse where she kept all her things, and his family would send servants with food for him.
Although he was the one who was being blamed for the disappearances and murders, it was not just him that was suffering but his family as well, they were being seen under the same hateful spotlight as him, and it was threatening the lifestyle that they had come to enjoy, so eventually they came to a decision one that would benefit everyone except for John Addams.
His family came out against him, his father claimed that he was always a useless son, his mother claimed that he was always a disobedient child, and his sister said that he was always stealing her money and that he gets whatever he deserves, they told the outraged village’s where to find him.
They dragged him out of the warehouse at night through a new surround, a tree branch, and hung him for the crimes of the Williams. Afterward, his family reputation was more than restored, being perceived as victims of a heinous criminal, and the Williams began to frequently visit the city where they could indulge in their dark appetites more easily and without being caught.
The family lived in relative peace despite their dislike of each other. Until a new couple from the aristocracy moved into a house that was relatively close, they were Mr. Wilson and Mrs Wilson, and these two had some dark desires kidnapping their victims, usually small children, they would delight in the pain and suffering, graciously feeding off of it driving their lust and bathing in their own carnal appetites.
Unfortunately, these two were clumsy, an over-voracious there hunting became noticeable as the population of the small village that they were targeting began to dwindle and they started to notice. Mr. Wilson and Mrs Wilson had no intention of being captured, so they needed someone to blame and they looked towards their nearest neighbors and found a target.
Using their Connexions as aristocracy they paid a few locals and the newspaper to write articles pointing the finger of blame towards John Addams, stating that he was always a strange character, always hiding away, of course the police did do an investigation, all they found was his books, of which there were many, they contained a number of stories including some that he had written himself, these would later be used as evidence of his guilt as they would claim that he was acting out his fantasies that were written in the books.
John Addams was perceived as a very strange individual preferring the company of himself, listening to the radio, reading stories, and even writing a few of his own, it was to be noted among the staff that he did not like large crowds, and he frequently had nightmares of a darkness that was continually chasing after him, over the years, he trained himself to learn when he was asleep he would switch the light on, and if it stayed off he was asleep, if it came on it meant that he was awake using this he was able to manipulate his dreams, to an extent, but the darkness was always chasing him.
The family of four where members of the aristocracy, and so it was not required for them to work, his mother June Addams, spend her time going to parties and collecting Connections to increase their business, she cared only for what people saw her as, status and prestige was everything to her.
His father David Addams, founded a number of factories in the big city which the family tended to avoid visiting to distance themselves from the filthy commoners. David Addams had a savage temper no matter how much money he gathered from his businesses it was never enough on occasion he would play card games which he would always win or rather be allowed to win when he would lose, he would often become aggressive to those around him.
John Addams preferred to spend his time inside, he did not care nor show any affection towards his family, his father was furious at him for refusing to play tennis and cricket, some of the more popular sports at the time, and his mother drag him around ordering him to smile for the guests at her party's as for his sister, she would bully him into handing over his allowance, he saw no purpose in their greed, he cared little for everyone else deciding on the mantra of “As long as it doesn't affect me, I don't really care.”
